Great shop! And fronted by a very friendly, laid back Jurassic 'wizard' too (so our kids tell us!). We were all fascinated by the wide variety of very reasonably priced fossils, books, artifacts, shirts and ores, crystals you had. The fossils and gems now take pride of place on the shelf. Definitely worth a visit!

Hi Jim, It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday.My 7 year old keeps saying you are the nicest man he has ever met and clutched his bag of dinosaur goodies for the rest of the day even at the dinner table.And my 11 year old thought you were really COOL !.The Boys both had an interest in Dino's already but visiting your Treasure Trove of a shop has awakend a new side of it and I'm sure that on every holiday now we will spend hours scouring beaches for hidden treasures.The biggest Treasure in the shop is YOU...taking the time to share your passion and making it accessible to all.Your fantastic stories and allowing everything to be touched by the children & the incredible prices make you & your shop and essential place to visit on the Isle of Wight and we will be back for sure on our next visit.Many Thanks The Williams Family XX :) XX

was walking around Shanklin, when I came across the Jurassic Jim shop. I went in with my sister, and we were impressed. There was every type of rock, minerals and fossils. In my opinion this shop is cooler than a video game shop. I definitely recommend it to all boys and girls. :-)

Jurassic Jim's is a brilliant shop. I have two boys ages 5 and 7 who are massively into dinosaurs at the moment and Jurassic Jim spent ages talking to them about the different fossils they were looking at in his shop - his genuine passion rubbed off on our boys so much so that we made two visits in one afternoon. Thankfully the prices are also quite reasonable as we came away with quite a few fossils!!

i alway's go to the isle of wight, but this time i found something new, your shop is amazing, the fossil's and stone's are just so interesting, and the service was great to, i went to pay for one of the many fossil's and actually learnt something. it's really cheap there aswell, i have my faviote place's to shop for thing's like fossil's, but this is surely the best one yet, it's affordable and great qaulity, defintly weath a 5 star rating.

Hello! I recently took a week holiday in the Isle of Wight and, upon visiting Shanklin, I found the most fantastic place. Your shop! It was absolutely wonderful and it took me ages to drag myself away from the wonderful gemstones and fossils there. Of course, I tried to leave at one point, but something else caught my eye and I had to look at that too!
I can now say that thanks to you and youur shop, my gemstone collection is FINALLY getting bigger.

Wow what a wonderful shop we have discovered in Shanklin. Jurassic JIm or Generous Jim as my son calls him due to the many wonderful fossils my son bought at such great prices, we went back to his shop again and again and again until all my son's holiday money was spent aswell as ours!! if you are after great fossils at excellent prices then you must visit Generous Jim's. We will definately be back on the next visit to the Island (when my son has saved up more spending money!). Thanks Jim for your enthusiasm and knowledge. Hello! I went to your shop in Shanklin just the other week when I was on holiday, I totally loved it in there and you were incredibly nice and lovely to talk to, which i thank you for! There are not many people out there who are friendly and actually attempt at making a good convosation with customers. I bought a Apache Tears bracelet and stone from you, and I love it, its so pretty and my friend loves it too! I really hope I get to visit your shop again soon!

A chance discovery a week or so ago, Jurassic Jim's is a fantastic shop for the fossil & mineral enthusiast. His prices are very reasonable, with plenty of well-provenanced stock at affordable prices for children and adults alike. Jim himself is very friendly, knowledgeable and generous. JurassicJim has a fantastic treasure trove of a shop in Shanklin, selling quality, reasonably priced Dino bones, fossils of all kinds, rock, dino teeth, and to my Son's amusement, dino poo! My Son loves going to see Jim, who is welcoming and honest, and always has an interesting story to tell. Young and old alike are welcome, and you will find the most amazing pieces there which you can handle (not tucked inside cases like most places). Well wotrth a visit!!

We visited this wonderful shop twice this week, an Aladdins cave full with Fossils, Crystals and curios. Jim is so interesting to talk to.
We left with Selenite candle holders,Amethyst, ammonite fossile and an obsidian skull. Items are very, very good value and quality.
Coffee shop opposite is an ideal place to leave a loved one while you spend a good half hour in Jims' shop.

Wow! Jurassic Jim, what can I say? My friend and I visited your hidden gem of a shop just the other day for the first time, and it really was an amazing experience! I am an avid collector of echinoids and micrasters, and have collected them since a child. I have never purchased one before, but there was something so natural and pure about your shop, so I took two away with me! ;) I will return to the shop soon as we struck a great deal on your glass topped display case. I left your shop with isle of wight diamonds in my hand and a new fossil friend in my heart. Thank you for all the knowledge you so freely shared. See you soon :)

My 2 boys think Jurassic Jim's is the best shop in the world and made repeated visits while on their holiday. They now want to open a fossil shop of their own.
